A Christ-centered Church serving the hills of North Georgia since 1834

Founded in 1834, Goshen Baptist Church is a small country church nestled in the beautiful hills of North Georgia. For nearly two centuries, our congregation has gathered to worship, serve, and grow together in faith.

We are proud to be a member of the Hightower Baptist Association, standing alongside other local churches to share the Gospel and strengthen our community.

At Goshen, all of our lessons and preaching come directly from the King James Version of the Bible, and we remain steadfast in keeping Christ at the center of everything we do.

Our mission: To honor Jesus Christ through worship, discipleship, and love for one another.

Meet our Pastor

Meet Tyler and Melonie Goode:

Tyler was called to preach at just 17 years old and was ordained as a pastor at 31. Goshen is the third church he has pastored, and he and Melonie count it as one of their greatest blessings.

Married for 16 years, they have two wonderful children, Brynleigh and Bryce, who are active members of the church family. Together, the Goodes love serving wherever the Lord leads and bringing God’s Word to life through teaching, encouragement, and example.

When they’re not at church, you’ll likely find them camping with family and friends or cheering on Georgia football.

  • Youth Night: Christmas Lights Tour

    📍 Meet at Goshen Baptist Church
    Join us for a fun evening of fellowship as our youth group loads up the Goshen shuttle and heads out to see the beautiful Christmas lights in Cumming, Georgia! We’ll enjoy a light dinner at the church before we hit the road.

  • Annual Christmas Play

    🗓️ Wednesday, December 18th | 5:00 PM

    📍 Goshen Baptist Church Sanctuary
    Get ready for a night to remember! Our youth will take the stage to share The Greatest Story Ever Told in this year’s Christmas play.

  • Choir Outreach at the Nursing Home
