About Goshen Baptist Church
Our Story
Founded in 1834, Goshen Baptist Church has been a cornerstone of faith for generations here in the hills of North Georgia. What began as a small gathering of believers has grown into a loving church family dedicated to worship, fellowship, and service.
We are a member of the Hightower Baptist Association, working alongside sister churches to share the Gospel and support our community. Every lesson and sermon is taught from the King James Version of the Bible, keeping Christ and Scripture at the heart of all we do.

Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Tyler & Melonie Goode
Pastor Tyler leads Goshen Baptist Church with a deep love for God’s Word and a heart for people. His messages are rooted in Scripture and centered on helping others grow closer to Christ.
Together with his wife, Melanie, they serve faithfully: encouraging our youth, supporting families, and leading by example in everyday ministry.

The Bible: We believe the King James Version of the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God.
Salvation: We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
Baptism: We practice believer’s baptism by immersion as a public testimony of faith.
Worship: We gather to praise God through song, prayer, preaching, and fellowship.
Community: We are called to love and serve one another, reflecting Christ in all we do.

Our church is growing — both in spirit and in number!
Plans are underway for a new sanctuary in 2026, a reflection of God’s continued blessings and our commitment to sharing His love with future generations.

Our Youth & Church Events
Our youth are a vital part of the Goshen family! Through activities, fellowship, and service, they learn to live out their faith and grow in God’s Word together.
From Youth Nights and Bible studies to community outreach and holiday events, there’s always something happening here. Whether we’re singing at the nursing home, loading up the bus for a Christmas Lights Tour, or preparing for our annual Christmas Play, each gathering is filled with joy and purpose.
